YOUR CHINA-SIDE SOURCING DESK

From an overseas brief to a workable supplier program

Importers, sourcing teams and home & garden brands often need more than a list of factories. The practical work is matching the brief to a suitable supplier, resolving product questions and keeping buyer decisions connected to sampling and production.

Xiamen Green coordinates that work through an established manufacturing partner network in China. Manufacturing is performed by production partners; the scope of our coordination and the buyer's approval responsibilities are agreed for each program.

How a sourcing program moves forward

  1. Match the supplier to the brief

We review the intended use, material, finish and volume before discussing suitable factory options. Product feasibility and supplier fit come before committing to a production specification.

  2. Turn the concept into a quotation

Clarify dimensions, packing, minimum quantities and tooling requirements. Compare quotations on the same specification and freight scope, rather than unit price alone.

  3. Resolve the sample decisions

Coordinate shape, mold or tooling, color and finish development. Record approved references and revisions so the supplier and buyer work from the same requirements.

  4. Connect production to export

Follow production milestones, coordinate agreed quality checks, review packing and plan export documents, pallet configuration and container loading.

Agree responsibilities before the order

Inspection scope, acceptable tolerances, tooling terms and shipment responsibilities should be written into the program. FOB and DDP support can be discussed where applicable; availability and destination scope must be confirmed in the quotation.
